Hazel graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music. On completion of her undergraduate degree she went on to be awarded a Distinction for her Postgraduate Diploma in performance.
Hazel plays with leading professional orchestras including Halle, CBSO, Northern Ballet, RTE National Symphony Orchestra and London Concert Orchestra. Hazel is also in demand as a session violinist, recording albums with bands such as Rudimental and performing with many leading popular artists such as Michael Bublé, Bryn Terfel, Shirley Bassey, Katherine Jenkins and Il Divo. Hazel has toured extensively, fixing and leading orchestras for Andrea Bocelli, Aled Jones, and Paul Potts and . TV appearances include Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, Royal Variety Performance and Sports Relief.
Lizz trained at The Royal Academy of Music and went on to Sheffield University to achieve her BMus degree and Masters.
Her playing now takes her from intimate to international including solo concerts and recording studio sessions. Highlights over the last few years include performing and recording with the likes of Smokey Robinson, Richard Hawley, Newton Faulkner and Peter Gabriel.
She performs regularly with singer songwriter Jane Taylor with a recent radio performances with Bob Harris, BBC radio 2. Lizz is also a favourite guest soloist with several choirs in South West England. ‘Her violin sings out over the 80 voices of our choir, enchanting the audience’ MD, Bath male voice choir.
As our reputation has grown so has our team and now Elektra can literally be in three different places at once. We are delighted to introduce Kathryn Coleman, Teodora Ilieva, Sally Potterton and Emma Fry.
